Jacob's first Easter

Easter was a special day for us. It was the first Sunday for all of us to be here in Florida and we celebrated God's love with our Westpoint family. I have truly craved being with such a sweet family of believers. You guys know this past year has been a little unconventional for us and I love and missed the structure of a weekly gathering to celebrate my God!

After our gathering we headed back to our friends house for a restful afternoon (thanks McGinns) and enjoyed a delicious Honey Baked meal and carrot cake (thanks Dukes). The kids had fun with their Easter goodies in their baskets (thanks Nana). Megan ate and played while Jacob mainly chewed!

I'm having trouble getting pictures on, so I'll try again tomorrow! Blessings to you all.

Unpacking

Have you ever noticed that unpacking is a whole lot easier to do than packing? We've emptied nearly every box in a week finding new homes for all our stuff in all our roomy closets! What a blessing they are. Just before our move we found out the house we were to move into wasn't going to be available. Great news because our good friends are staying here, but what came next was an all out search for a house that could be ready for a family of four in two days. God provided and we are in an area we love in a spacious house and fantastic friends who let us stay the weekend until we had power and water. Plus we are so excited to be back together as a family! My man is such a help to me and I truly missed just being together as a family for the weeks he came ahead to get started at Westpoint.

We are gearing up for the celebration of Megan's birthday (her actual birthday was this past weekend). She is keeping us in stitches all the time--although tonight the laugh was on Mommy. In true Florida style a little lizard had taken up residence in Megan's new dollhouse. Megan never stopped laughing as I jumped around swatting at that thing with the fly swatter. "That's siwwy (silly) mommy."

We are truly excited to be back in Florida with our Westpoint family! We hope you all can come visit us soon. Love and miss you all.

Family Update

Well, it's official. We're moving back to Florida. Jim leaves March 2nd and the rest of us will follow soon. We have heavy hearts about leaving family here in Tennessee, but are thrilled to be rejoining the staff at Westpoint. We are excited to see where God takes us in this next chapter. My goal is to keep family and friends updated here on our blog.

Jim has celebrated a birthday this month and we are preparing for Megan's 3rd birthday in March! I can't believe she's almost 3! We're on the tail end of potty training and have almost mastered staying in that big girl bed at naptime and night. But honestly, what's childhood without the request for water, rocking or holding just a little longer each night? How I have to remind myself to cherish these moments. Jacob is crawling (an army crawl), pulling up and into everything. So different than his big sister who was so cautious at this stage. I love his daring curiosity. He's my cuddler with an infectious laugh.

Check back soon for some updated pics of the kids.

A new day

You are looking at a milestone. Yesterday was the first day Megan slept in her "big girl bed." We converted her crib into a toddler bed, and fashioned a bumper guard to the side. She took her afternoon nap, and she slept through the night in her bed. It was a big day for her, and for the family! She just keeps growing up!

Here are some pictures of Meg in her new bed...

It's all about the kids, baby!

Here are some pictures of Megan and Jacob hanging out. Enjoy!

She's not a baby anymore, is she? They grow up so quickly!

We call this one "Sticker Face."

Megan loves to swing. Swingin' with Nana!

Who can resist this face?

Am I the cutest, or what?

What's shakin', baby?

Pooh Bear is yummy!

Peek-a-boo!

Sweet big sister patting little brother on the head.

Taken just seconds before Jacob toppled off the couch (just kidding!)

A day at the Pumpkin Patch

We packed everyone up and headed to the pumpkin patch. We played some games, went to the petting zoo, enjoyed a hayride, and chose some pumpkins to decorate our front porch. Here are some pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Lil' punkin and her dad, Farmer Jim!

Come here, little goats! I have some food for you!

What a day! I am happy to be here!

Look at all the pumpkins! How do I choose!
