Life is full of boxes!

Well, we are in full swing move mode right now, so before I can't find the computer or time to sit down I just wanted to add a quick update.......

Megan is loving dance class and is gearing up for her recital in June! We've just registered her for VPK next fall. I'm excited for her, but can't imagine taking her to school every day when she's been with me nearly every day since she was born. We've chosen a Christian preschool that offers VPK. They are the only school near us that teach from a Christian curriculum. A lot of our friends have sent their kids to this school and we've met several other kids who will be going there in the fall. We'll let you know how it goes!

Jacob is loving life and going full throttle! He's ever the active one. We're so excited to hear more clearly enunciated words recently and are looking forward to conversations with our little man.

We are reminded of God's hand and provision every day--my dad spent much of last week in the hospital with pneumonia. He has been released and is recovering at home now. Karen has been dealing with sickness too, making it that much harder for them to take care of each other. My mom continues to receive good reports at each doctor's visit.

God has also blessed us abundantly with fantastic friends! We are moving into the home of sweet friends who are currently out of state working plus we have friends who have actually agreed to help us move AGAIN. We plan to stay about 3-4 months while we sell our house in TN and purchase a home here. Please be in prayer with us about this. We truly feel this is where we are meant to be and really want to "settle." It would be fantastic to find a home near great schools and begin life knowing that we don't have a move anywhere in the foreseeable future. We miss the connections with neighbors and are praying that God will bless us as He has before with great neighbors. I'll post a picture soon of the place we will call home for the next few months.

Well, I'm off to get rest for another full day tomorrow!

The pictures are of Jacob being silly and Megan with her ladybug blanket she got for Valentine's Day from her Nana!!!

A fantastic weekend!

We have had a full and fun weekend. First of all we went to meet our good friends the Huddlestons at a character breakfast! It was a first for all of us and it was fun. Jacob's first word was Mickey or "gicky" as it comes from him....his first birthday was Mickey themed....so needless to say he was excited to see Mickey. He didn't quite know what to do when he got close though. After a yummy breakfast we headed over and spent the day at Magic Kingdom riding tea cups, small world, pooh, peter pan, buzz lightyear, pirates and playing in minnie's house. Megan loved playing with her buddy Avery and we truly had a great time hanging out with our friends. Stacey and I share the exact same birthday and crazy curly hair!

We got home for dinner and let the kids run around a bit before getting them to bed because Sunday was sure to be full! After the gathering we joined the Huddlestons for lunch and then napped before heading over to watch the Super Bowl with our church family. We held the first compassKIDS bowl and all the kids played a game of tag football. The dads then had their turn. We all headed back to the McGinns for our Mexican Fiesta while getting ready for kickoff. Now anyone who knows us knows that we cheer for the Steelers in our house. We were very happy for the win! It's been a good football year for Jim with the Gators and Steelers going all the way!

Well, here are a few pictures from our day at Disney and the Super Bowl.
