Megan's first dance recital!
She slept in her pink foam rollers to have pretty curls for her recital today. We all got up, had breakfast and started the beauty treatments. After blush, eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss we tackled the hair. I mentioned that she had a rat's nest from the curls and she came UNGLUED! I think she really thought it was a rat's nest and not just tangles in her hair. After much calming we finally got her hair up and were ready to go. The girls went ahead to get Megan there and to wait in line to save seats while Jim and my dad got flowers and dropped Jacob off for a play date.
Here's the video from my camera vantage point of her song "Boogie Shoes!" She's on the back row far right.
Here are pictures of a few of the girls in her dance class. The girls played backstage with stage moms who brought loads of snacks, coloring books, movies and stickers! She had a blast!
Papa and Gan Gan bought Megan beautiful tulips! And then they treated us to lunch at Megan's choice of restaurant--Tijuana Flats! (Just happens to be my favorite.)
Mommy and Daddy found Minnie dressed in a tutu to remember today.
She did a wonderful job and truly enjoyed her special day. We're already looking forward to the fall when classes start again!

Sweet memories
I love my family! They make me laugh! And they touch my heart.
Jacob has started making a funny face (not yet captured on camera......still trying), but here's Megan making the face! Love the eyes rolling up into the head!
Yesterday we headed over to Downtown Disney to cool off in the water pad sprinklers and ran into our sweet friends. Megan was posing for a picture with buzz, so Matti joined in!When I was cleaning floors the other day I looked over and noticed the kids sitting together watching Pinnochio. No fighting or arguing, just a sweet sibling moment!
I love to see my little man looking up to his Daddy! Jim is truly the greatest dad ever. In this picture Jacob has joined him on the floor to throw the ball up in the air just like Daddy!
Here's one of Jacob enjoying a sweet treat from a birthday party. What's better than a cookie on a stick?

Dance class awards!
Well, Megan has loved her dance class this year. Last week each of the girls received an attendance pin on a lanyard plus a pin if they are participating in the recital. Their teachers designed a runway and let each girl take a spin with a red rose! Oh such sweet times we've had this year. Megan is truly excited about the recital tomorrow. Here are pictures from awards and her rehearsal earlier today.
Taking her bow at the end of dance season.
Waiting in the hall before final rehearsal!
The girls wanted to stay and check out a few more dance routines. These three sure are sweet friends!
We've already signed up for a new class next fall and have a new teacher. Megan is excited to continue so check back for pictures from the recital and for the upcoming season!

Trips to Sea World
Megan has been up to trying new things at Sea World on our past couple of visits. Here are pictures of her trying out the boat ride and a picture with the cast of the Allure show. She loves watching this show.
Jacob and Jim heading in to see the sharks!
And finally Megan watching the oyster diver! One of the divers on team there can hold his breath for over 5 minutes!!!
Because of our love of shamu (or ashu as Jacob calls him) Megan has now added shamu trainer to her list of things she wants to be when she grows up! We'll see!
